AESTHETIC DENTAL TREATMENTS
WHITENING

It is the process of making the existing color of the tooth lighter with special agents containing hydrogen peroxide.
Two methods can be applied during this process. home bleaching and Office bleaching.

  • Home Bleaching; In this method, personalized transparent plaques are prepared in line with the impression taken from the patients. These plaques and whitening agents are given to the patient, and how to apply them and what to pay attention while doing explained in detail. The patient applies this procedure during the time he is at home on the specified days and hours. When the determined time is over, the person is called to the clinical environment and the color change is checked.

  • Office Type Whitening; This method is performed in a clinical setting under the supervision of a dentist.
The area to be bleached is isolated from soft tissue with special materials. Whitening agents that contain more hydrogen peroxide than the agents used in home bleaching are used in this process. After the whitening agent is applied to the teeth, after 3 sessions of approximately 15 minutes, the teeth are exposed to a halogen light source for 45 minutes. The session can be repeated depending on the color change. This procedure is also frequently used in our clinic.

  • Post Endodontic Whitening; Long-term discoloration may occur in teeth that have undergone root canal treatment. In order to eliminate this discoloration, intracanal bleaching can be applied to the related tooth.
